 The
origin of present-day Daibiru Corp. stretch back to October
1923, one month after the Great Kanto Earthquake. In the aftermath
of the disaster, while construction methods for buildings were
reviewed in Japan, we aimed to establish a new business based
on the leasing of office buildings.
In the intervening about nine decades Daibiru has continued to supply office buildings geared to the needs of the era, while standing the test of time, and has accumulated an excellent track record. Our consistent emphasis on amenities of office buildings and their life-enhancing potential is based on our conviction that the quality of space is a critical attribute of office buildings, since high-quality human resources are the most important attribute of an enterprise.
From this viewpoint, Daibiru is actively engaged in rebuilding and renovation of aged buildings. These activities meet various needs of offices and are highly evaluated by numerous tenants.
Daibiru is also active in the field of urban development. Akihabara Daibiru Building completed in March 2005, Nakanoshima Redevelopment Project in Osaka scheduled for completion in 2013, and New Shin Daibiru Building provisional name scheduled for completion in 2014—these projects articulate Daibiru's role as the pioneer of Japanese office buildings.
