Origins

O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. solidifies its position as a major Japanese shipper.

    O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (now Mitsui O.S.K. Lines), which would go on to play a central role in the establishment of Daibiru Corporation, opens for business in Tomijima-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka.

The construction of buildings resumes despite post-war hardships.

    The company name is changed to Osaka Tatemono Co., Ltd.

    Hibiya Daibiru Buildings No. 1 and No. 2 are requisitioned (and occupied by foreign troops for 12 years and 5 months until December 1958).

  • December1950

    Osaka Tatemono is listed on the Osaka Securities Exchange.

    The Akihabara Daibiru Building in Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo (the Akihabara Station Redevelopment Project) is completed.

    The Shosen Mitsui Building (Toranomon Daibiru Building) in Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo is acquired.

  • 2005

    Five rental condominium buildings in Greater Tokyo (Lanterna Koishikawa, Lanterna Nishiogi, Lanterna Sanno, Lanterna Noge, and Line House Aoki Park) are acquired.

  • July2007

    MOL Kosan Co., Ltd. becomes a consolidated subsidiary of Daibiru Corporation.

  • March2009

    The Nakanoshima Daibiru Building in Nakanoshima, Kita-ku, Osaka (the 3 Nakanoshima Joint Development Project) is completed.

    The Tosabori Daibiru Building in Tosabori, Nishi-ku, Osaka is completed.

    The Akihabara Daibiru Ekimae Plaza Building in Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo is acquired.

  • April2010

    Aoyama Rise Square (trust beneficiary rights) in Minamiaoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo is acquired.

    Saigon Tower Co., Ltd. (now Daibiru Saigon Tower Co., Ltd.), the company that owns Saigon Tower in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, becomes a consolidated subsidiary (our first overseas expansion).

    The Daibiru-Honkan Building rebuilding in Nakanoshima, Kita-ku, Osaka is completed with the completion of a new building.

    Aria Ebisu Minami, a non-free elderly care home with nursing care, is acquired.

    VIBANK-NGT Co., Ltd. (now Daibiru CSB Co., Ltd.), a company that owns the CornerStone Building in Hanoi, Vietnam, becomes a consolidated subsidiary.

    The Shin-Daibiru Building rebuilding in Dojimahama, Kita-ku, Osaka is completed with the completion of a new building.

    The Nihonbashi NK Building in Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo is acquired from Nisshin Kaiun Holdings and becomes the Nihonbashi 3-chome Building.

  • September2018

    275 George Street, an office building development project in Sydney, Australia, is acquired via Daibiru Holdings Australia Pty Ltd (now Daibiru Australia Pty Ltd).

  • July2019

    BiTO AKIBA in Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo is completed (the first commercial building developed by Daibiru Corporation).

    The Seavans South Building in Shibaura, Minato-ku, Tokyo is acquired from Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and Utoc Corporation.

  • November2019

    Three buildings, including Daibiru PIVOT in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, are acquired (our first expansion into a regional core city).

  • December2020

    The 275 George Street office building in Sydney, Australia is completed.

    Daibiru Corporation makes an equity investment in a special purpose company (SPC) that owns a partial interest (trust beneficiary rights) in Umeda E-MA in Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka.

  • April2022

    Daibiru Corporation becomes a full subsidiary of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and is delisted from the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

    A partial interest (trust beneficiary rights) in Otemachi First Square in Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo is acquired.

    Daibiru Corporation participates the development of ESG-friendly offices in the suburbs of Atlanta, U.S.A.

  • March2023

    A partial interest (trust beneficiary rights) in the Otemon Tower / ENEOS Building in Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo is acquired.

  • April2023

    Daibiru Corporation invests in an SPC for logistics facilities in the Nishinomiya area in Hyogo Prefecture.

  • May2023

    Participation in an office building development project in the Melbourne CBD, Australia
