Daibiru Invests in The Chain Museum, Operator
of Art Communication Platform “ArtSticker”— Taking on the Challenge of Enhancing Urban Value
and Creating New Towns through Culture and the Arts —

DAIBIRU CORPORATION MOL PLUS

DAIBIRU CORPORATION (President & CEO: Takashi Maruyama; Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka) today announced its investment in The Chain Museum Inc. (Chief Exective Officer: Masamichi Toyama, Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo (Note 1)).

The Chain Museum Inc.

The Chain Museum aims to make art more accessible to everyone, with a mission “to offer triggers for awareness in both art and life.” Its core business, “ArtSticker,” is an online platform that provides a direct connection between artists and art enthusiasts. Through this versatile platform, users can purchase artworks, express support for specific artists through the sticker feature, purchase exhibition tickets, and access audio guides. ArtSticker currently has over 3,000 registered artists, allowing users to find and purchase their favorite works, and support the artists. Many artists without any gallery affiliations are also participating, creating opportunities for users to connect with talent they might not otherwise encounter. In addition, to propose more diverse ways of engaging with art, The Chain Museum operates its own Gallery Business and Coordination Business, which produces spaces such as hotels, commercial facilities, and offices to incorporate art into everyday life.

Through its business partnership with The Chain Museum, which has a network of many artists and operates art-focused spatial design projects, Daibiru aims to incorporate art into urban development and town planning to enhance the asset value of its own buildings and areas. Specifically, through joint art events with The Chain Museum, the addition of permanent exhibitions, and space design that blends with local cultures, it will promote the creation of urban spaces for the next generation.

Daibiru, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL), has been collaborating with the Daibiru Desk (Note 2) of MOL PLUS Co., Ltd. (CEO: Takuya Sakamoto; Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo), MOL’s corporate venture capital fund, in its investment activities, and after jointly examining the project, decided to move forward with its investment.
